shows the change to fall color. Hana matoi is a very rare variegated lace
leaf weeping maple with very fine leaves.
Strong pink, cream and green leaves are more
definite than those of Toyama nishiki
which may be its parent. The incredible pink
color is also visible in the cascading
branches. Hana matoi. needs to be staked for
height to look
its best. It is a vigorous grower for such a
spectacular and showy maple. This maple can
reach at least 4' tall with staking. Morning
sun with afternoon shade is recommended. A wonderful
addition to a home garden or patio container. This rare and hard to find maple
is hardy to USDA zone 6 once established. A

palmatum dissectum 'Spring Delight' First photo shows the wonderful spring color - green leaves with red color
tips. The second and third photos show the beautiful fall color - the initial
leaf color is yellow then orange and finally finishes with crimson red . Spring Delight is a wonderful lace leaf weeping maple developed by Talon Buchholz in
Gaston, Oregon. This cultivar is truly a Spring Delight with the green leaves
edged in red. After the reddish tones disappear the color is solid green turning
to orange and red in the fall. One of the best growing weepers we have in
our nursery, in fact Spring Delight is the best of all the green selections in
terms of hardiness. A strong growing cascading maple, Spring
Delight can reach 5' tall and wide in 10 years. This maple an be grown in the garden or in

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Tamuke yama'
First photo shows dark red summer color courtesy of Talon Buchholz and photo on right shows bright crimson fall color in our landscape.
Tamuke yama is one of the oldest known lace leaf weeping maples dating back to 1710. Spring color is bright crimson red turning to a strong burgundy in the summer before it shines with its scarlet red fall color. Tamuke yama holds it color better than most other red lace leaf maples even in high heat and humidity so it is recommended for East coast and Southern climate zones. Staking is advisable to get the desired height and canopy or umbrella shape desired for most lace leaf maples. This cultivar can reach 6' tall and wide in 10 years. An excellent maple for a water feature or Japanese style garden. Once established this cultivar is hardy to USDA zone 5.

palmatum dissectum 'Toyama nishiki'
This beautiful little tree is in the variegated dissectum category for Japanese Maples in the dissectum group have lacy leaves and are known as the weeping form of a Japanese Maple. Toyama nishiki is an exceptionally lacey and slow-growing variegated maple - leaves are a mixture of green, pink and cream. Morning sun and afterjnoon shade is the best to display the color variation. This smaller and slow growing lace leaf can provide a focal point of color in a shade garden.
This somewhat rare and unusual lace leaf maple displays gold, orange, and red tones in the fall. Once established this cultivar is hardy to USDA zone 6.

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Viridis'
The first photo shows the wonderful green leaves during summer. The second photo shows the fall color - crimson.
Viridis is green lace leaf weeping cultivar that can handle full sun or shade. Delicate leaves and limbs make this maple suitable for ponds and as a focal point in the landscape. Spring color is light green turning to a strong green in the summer. Fall color begins with yellow-orange turning to crimson. Viridis is a well-known green leaf cultivar that is highly desired by collectors for its vigorous growth which can reach 5' tall. Once established hardy to USDA zone 5.

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Waterfall'
First photo shows beginning of fall color and the second photo shows the magnificent orange which will evolve into crimson red.
Waterfall is a green lace leaf weeping cultivar similar to Viridis. The new growth is light green turning to strong green in the summer. The green bark is a beautiful accent to the overall appearance of the maple therefore, staking is recommended to create the canopy or umbrella appearance. Strong summer green turns to yellow, orange and finally crimson. Waterfall is a vigorous cultivar reaching 6' tall and wide in 10 years. Perfect to accent a water feature or pond or grown in a patio container. Once established this cultivar is hardy to USDA zone 5.
